Thanks to everyone who raised their mug

Here at the Bognor Cookshop, we would like to thank all our customers and those who joined us for our Tea Party in association with the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The event was a huge hit and together we raised £106 for Cancer Support. However, our fundraising efforts are not going to stop there. We are going to continue to sell recipe cards in-store at the bargain price of 25p, with the whole 25p going to Macmillan and our ‘Old & Unwanted Foreign Currency’ box is also going to remain a permanent feature, so if you manage to escape for a winter holiday remember to bring in your leftover change.

Come and have a cuppa with us and help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

The Bognor Cookshop is joining in Macmillan’s World’s Largest Coffee Morning event to raise money for Cancer Support in the form of The Bognor Cookshop Tea Party on Friday 26^th September.

From 10.00am onwards you can join us for tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes in our store at No. 1 The Arcade, High Street, Bognor Regis, PO21 1LH. Expect giant Alice in Wonderland style teapots, fancy whirring coffee machines and a chance to win a shopping spree at John Lewis amongst other things.

We will also be collecting unwanted Foreign Currency in aid of Macmillan - so drop in any of that unspent holiday change, no matter how old or out of date it is!

Our store will of course be open for trade as normal so feel free to pop in and enjoy browsing the shop whilst sipping your tea.

ChichesterCookshop.co.uk gets a makeover

Well… it’s been a busy time and the fun never stops at the Chichester and Bognor Cookshop. In the past week our brand new shiny beautiful website at been re-launched, at ChichesterCookshop.co.uk. Its up and running for you to visit with lots of stunning new gadgets for the keen web-browser to play with.

We have launched Facebook Groups for both the Bognor and Chichester Cookshop in conjunction with listing the website/Chichester branch as a business enabling you to become one of our Facebook Fans. Easy Bookmark features can be found on all product pages for use with social networking sites, allowing easy creation of Christmas and Birthday Wish Lists, as well as sharing much-loved products with friends.

We are also very excited to announce the launch of the live helpline available for use with Skype. In addition to our Help and Enquiry form, you can find Chichester Cookshop on Skype and chat live to us with your Cookshop questions. Be it a specific product you are searching for, or some much-needed advice on which saucepan is right for you, we are ready to help.

Welcome to the Bognor Cookshop blog. Here you will find updates on the goings on of the shop and the website, found at ChichesterCookshop.co.uk. We will be posting products, tips and recipes as well as lovely chit chat provided by myself.

As those of you that have visited us will know, we are a small independent retailer and pride ourselves on this. We like to give our customers what they want and will endeavour to help any queries however big or small. If you are looking for something that is on our website, don’t hesitate to email us to find out if we can get hold of it. International customers? Don’t suffer without your muffin tins and toast racks in silence, let us know where you live and we will quote postage for you - we will send anywhere the post route goes.

This week I would like to talk about Alessi. Notorious in the design world for their beautiful yet functional ranges, this Italian Dream Factory is purely inspirational. We already stock Alessi in Chichester and have made the decision to bring the label to Bognor. The town is getting a little regeneration so why not the kitchen too? It is time to invest in kettles topped with birds, spaceship juicers and ice-cream bowls called ‘Big Love’ and brighten up the kitchen. I will be writing more about specific Alessi products in the future, but for now I just wanted to share that it is here – who said Bognor didn’t have class?
